Body and Soul festival – A great experience!
It is a famous Irish festival bringing together a collaboration of poets, musicians, artists in a captivated, fulgid, chilled-out environment. It is an eclectic mix of visual and electronic arts, rising artists and distinguished international guests. This festival is held on 18th June at Meath, Clonmellon, Ballinlough Castle. The vision of Body and Soul festival is to develop an enduring festival that can be enjoyed by future generations. It also aims to elevate the awareness of the people-environment connection while exploring the exhilarating artistic corners.
Striking out on its own after launching itself as one of the important attractions of the Ireland, Body and Soul is a banquet for the ears and eyes. DJ sets are blaring out in every corner of the festival grounds of Ireland, and amusement is found everywhere – all you have to do is get involved. The feeling of joy you get after visiting this festival is very uncommon and it leaves a beautiful impression in your mind forever. On 2010, this festival took place on June 19 and 20.
The aim of this festival is to provide an opportunity to reflect on where we are and re-create our passion for life; to experience utmost fun, to recapture our cultural identity and shared values. Avril Stanley is the driving force behind the Body and Soul festival. The Body and Soul festival – an offshoot of the Electric Picnic – is truly an exciting experience with live bands, late night cabarets, a masquerade ball with a moon lit orchestra, workshops, visual arts, a soul kids area, a permaculture garden, a healing area, street theater, electronic acts and lots more. This is a festival with a cutting-edge soul and heart-shaped mind. You can create your own lanterns in an “illuminati workshop tent” and take part in the closing ceremony. Doesn’t that sound exciting to you?
In a time when gloominess, sadness and badness have become our daily mantra, we can fundamentally do one of two things. Go on cursing the darkness or light a light. The arrangers of Body & Soul have selected to do more than just light a light. They have decided to invite all of us to an extraordinary gathering in order to remind us all that there is still so much in life to celebrate.
